The Countermeasure 2.1 : Conversion Mechanism Upgrade Progress

River has engaged in extensive review and community discussion regarding the Pts conversion mechanism.

We sincerely appreciate the constructive feedback, detailed analysis, and thoughtful proposals shared across the community.

These discussions directly shaped the upgrade directions outlined below.

The following represents the consolidated outcome of multi-party evaluation, simulation, and community input.

✦ Structural Upgrade Directions

The upgraded conversion framework is being designed around four core components.

Each component responds to issues surfaced by users and aims to establish a system that is predictable, fair, and resistant to short-term pressure.

1. Daily Conversion Cap

A fixed daily cap will be introduced to distribute conversion activity over time. This ensures orderly execution, prevents high-impact single-day surges, and maintains system stability.

This point was raised repeatedly by community members and is now a core parameter.

2. Per-Conversion Limit

Each conversion action will have a maximum allowable amount.

This prevents any single transaction from consuming a disproportionate share of the daily quota and ensures fair access across all participants.

3. Dynamic Conversion Curve

Based on community suggestions, the static rate model will be replaced with a Dynamic Conversion Curve. Under this design, the conversion ratio adjusts according to participation density and system balance.

Higher conversion during a cycle results in proportionally adjusted rates, forming an endogenous, self-moderating mechanism shaped by collective behavior.

4. Staked RIVER Activation for Conversions

When conversion resumes, all converted River Pts will go into the RIVER Staking system. This gives users governance rights and staking rewards.

Users can choose their own staking period. Staking longer will return more RIVER.

This structure keeps ownership with the user and aligns conversion outcomes with long-term incentives through governance and staking rewards.

✦ Closing Note

Additional simulations are currently in progress, and we will share the results and detailed parameters as they are finalized.

Key elements of the upgraded mechanism will be introduced step by step to keep the process transparent and predictable.

A full activation timeline will be announced once validation is complete.

I don’t think “4. Staked RIVER Activation” is necessary.
The measures in 1–3 are sufficient, and making the system too complicated or raising the hurdles to obtain $River too much will only increase the incentive for people to sell their $RiverPTS on the market instead of waiting for the conversion.

I think the same as you — staking $River is actually unnecessary. Or, if the staking feature is enabled, it should work like the current River points, allowing users to unstake anytime they want.

Exactly. The introduction of a staking system itself is not a problem.
However, as you pointed out, the design needs to be positive so that users do not feel they are being punished.
Once the conversion is executed, users should first receive $River. Then, based on their own judgment, they may choose to enter the staking pool.
That is the order the procedure should follow.

Technically, the Daily Cap & Per-Conversion Limit are sufficient to prevent a “whale rush.”
For long-term strategy, flexible staking options (short lock → lower rewards, long lock → higher rewards) give users liquidity choice while encouraging token holding, governance participation, and reducing post-conversion sell pressure.

I’m quite confused about the “governance rights”.Do we really need to “governance” to get more of the Stake River?

I agree with the first three points, but the fourth one, “Staked RIVER Activation” is really unnecessary!

Since we already have the staking system for the RiverPts, we don’t need the same system for the RIVER, which will further affect the liquidity of RIVER.

Meanwhile, the confidence of the community will also be lost due to the extension of the staking period.

Agree. Another layer of conversion limitation is not helping at all, only increasing the already complicated conversion mechanism.

Staking shall be a rewarding mechanism instead of kind of ‘punishing barrier’ here.

With the new pts → $river conversion mechanism, $river price down, pts conversion, $river further down, … death spiral can be largely avoided.

Can not agree on using staking as another layer of preventing conversion.
